Congratulations to Professor Jill Carter on being awarded the 2024 Elliot Hayes Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dramaturgy from LMDA (Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of America) for Encounters at the Edge of the Woods, which premiered at Hart House Theatre in 2019 and which was published in Retreating to Re-Treat: A Performative Encounter at the 'Edge of the Woods' in 2024 by Playwrights Canada Press.
Named in honor of Elliott Hayes, the former dramaturg and literary manager at The Stratford Festival and a dual citizen of Canada and the USA, this award recognizes excellence in dramaturgical work on a specific project over the past two years.
