The Theatre, Youth, and Digital Media Lab is a Canada Fund for Innovation and Ontario Innovation Trust-funded lab where we use theatre as a research methodology and examine a wide range of theatre and performance practices, particularly those of young artist-citizens working in a variety of theatre-making spaces, like drama classrooms and community organizations. We use digital ethnography tools to produce and analyse creative practices in a variety of places around the globe, proceeding from a collaborative Global North-South perspective. We are interested in the diverse pedagogies and aesthetics of theatre, especially as they become harnessed to the examination of global questions of social and ecological justice.
