CDTPS MA student Raymundo Moreno has been selected to participate in a research and writing residency as part of the Archival Research Project at Dancemakers, which is housed at Dance Collection Danse.
Raymundo will create a paper reflecting on the history of Dancemakers who will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer. The final paper will permanently live on Dancemakers’ new website set to launch this summer 2024.
Congratulations Raymundo on this exciting achievement!
About the residency:
In a time of crucial and critical looking back, Dancemakers will work with 5-10 dancers/researchers to engage with their archive, which is housed at Dance Collection Danse (DCD) located at 2 Carlton St Unit 1303 in Tkaranto.
Each dancer/researcher will be given a one-week Writing Residency at Dance Collection Danse (or remotely using DCD's digital archives) and a $1,500 artist fee with the intention to produce content (a piece of writing, a photo essay and/or video compilation) that will permanently live on Dancemakers' new website (set to launch summer 2024).
