2022 CDTPS Mainstage Show: Metamorphoses
When and Where
Description
METAMORPHOSES
Based on the Myths of Ovid
Written and originally directed
by Mary Zimmerman
Adapted from Ovid’s epic poem, Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses takes us through a journey of ancient myths with a contemporary sensibility. Beginning with the creation of the world, and touching on classic tales like Orpheus and Euridice, Midas, and Psyche and Eros, Metamorphoses explores our relationship to the gods, the planet, and each other. In a time of great upheaval, we return to these stories that emerged over two thousand years ago and explore the mysteries of devotion, love and death, in search of understanding, transcendence, and even transformation.
