Yasmine Agocs

Yasmine is a second-year PhD student at the University of Toronto’s Centre for Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies. She earned her BA in Dramatic Arts as a trained actor and her MA in Theatre Studies, where her research focused on collective memory and scriptwriting. Her current research explores the connections between Latin American communities and theatre in Canada, with a particular interest in community-building and intersectionality. Further research interests lie in Latina representation on stage, performing abject bodies, and performing non-human animality.
