Description

In this modern, free-wheeling adaptation of a Greek classic, Antigone - convinced of the coming climate catastrophe - vows to bring Creon, and the oil and gas industry, to its knees. But when Creon brands her an enemy of the people, he sets in motion an anarchic tragedy. In an age of floods, wildfires, mass extinctions and rising seas, this baldly political play embraces the subject we all avoid - how to end our fossil fuel addiction. Guaranteed to disturb and terrify.

We are excited to present this imperative adaptation of a Sophocles classic, read by current and past students of the Drama Centre.
