Tzu-Yu Hung
Before joining the Centre, Tzu-Yu earned her BA and MA in Foreign Languages and Literatures from National Taiwan University, where her MA thesis examined Brecht and Greek tragedy in Sophocles. Her doctoral research investigates the performance strategies and methodologies employed by contemporary Taiwanese theatre to conceptualize political trauma. Her broader research interests include memory studies, trauma studies, theatrical self-reflexivity, phenomenology and performance, and puppetry. As a contributor to Performing Arts Redefined and Reviewing Performing Arts Taiwan—two online performance review platforms supported by Taiwan’s National Culture and Arts Foundation—Tzu-Yu continues to engage with contemporary theatre performance and practice in Taiwan.
