Undergraduate students from DRM200 Performance I, DRM300 Performance II and DRM428 Advanced Playwriting at the Centre for Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies completed this year with a series of open performances. Faculty, students and friends of the Centre were invited to come and watch a collection of play excerpts and rehearsed scenes from contemporary plays to Chekhov classics.

DRM428: Advanced Playwriting taught by CDTPS faculty member Guillermo Verdecchia hosted a series of play excerpts written by DRM428 students and presented by CDTPS student actors. The works showcased a range of themes and writing styles, highlighting the creative development and emerging voices of the student playwrights. The student showcase offered students the opportunity to engage with new writing in a collaborative performance setting.

DRM300 Performance II taught by CDTPS faculty member Ken Gass presented scenes from the major plays of Anton Chekhov, which included Uncle Vanya, Three Sisters, The Seagull and The Cherry Orchard over two daytime and two evening performances.
